Birmingham City Council wanted the main areas of central Brum decorated for VE day back in 2005. We used giant 24″ balloons to build enormous street arches that reached across both ends of New Street.
We air filled smaller balloons and pillar wrapped the front of the Council House to match the Red, White & Blue theme with the rest of the city centre.
The council helped us install the arches with cherry pickers, as these big balloons have a lot of lift we used 500lb nylon line though each arch for extra strength.
VE Day
