Today’s balloon drops were at The Engine Rooms, Southampton. Usually I install 1 drop horizontal with the stage. As you can see the venue has a large metal tube running along the centre, perfect for James Bond to hide in. I split the net and opted for 2 drops either side which worked well.

Here’s another 250 balloon drop including T shirts, this time at The Drill, Lincoln. Extra thanks goes to the on site tech crew who ferried me around in their fantastic genie lift.
Another road show 300 balloon drop at HMV Empire Coventry. This location did not have moveable trussing but not a problem, I’m always happy to jump on the ladders. As before I added 6 T Shirts to the drop.
This weeks 300 balloon drop was at Manchester Academy. I also had to include T Shirts – these make the drop heavier so decides no more than 6.
Another 300 balloon drop, this time at Epic Studios in Norwich. Great venue with easy rigging points that can be lowered to ground level. I also added some T Shirts & PVC balls into the drop.

10 Balloon drops & 16 exploding balloons installed in this Mayfair restaurant for New Years Eve. As with previous years we arrive at 3.30am and finish for 9am.
Back at the Hippodrome for 2 x 500 drops, another installation I do every year. The nets are pulled up into position from the roof so ladders etc are not required. Previous installations:
Here’s a 300 drop in Oldham. I’ve installed this for the last 3 years in a Pizza & Prosecco bar. It’s a nice warm up for the London drops required on the 30th & 31st. This drop stays in place for 2 days before New Years. The balloons will last because they’re air filled.
