This years December drop at The Roudhouse was rigged slightly differently. The central Hex Truss was being used for a trapese act so I had to hang the net clear of this area. I was allowed up above the truss onto the open mesh where I dropped down 2 lines to pull the net up into position. You can just make out the mesh on the above photo.
We used 16″ balloons for this drop – interesting to note that 250 x 16″ balloons required a net the size of 750 x 11″. Also I pulled the lines at 11pm and because the balloons were bigger it took longer for them to begin to fall (the chain stitch needed to travel about 6ft before the balloons began to fall).
